Taxidermy isn't just for the big bucks...

My friend Brandy Evans from Pocket Full of Heirlooms has the most vivid imagination. She can breathe life back into sweet little creatures. Some of her most precious art was on display in her adorable little shop in Mckinney, Tx last weekend. Of course I had to purchase a little friend for my mother.....Vera the Mouse. Go check Brandy's shop on Etsy or find her on Facebook.

Happy Wednesday!

Christmas at the Pink House

Christmas time is nothing short of delightful if you happen to spend it at the Pink House. Mom's precious pink cottage is always decorated above and beyond with the most splendid vintage decor. It honestly looks and smells just like a gingerbread house. Here are some of the pictures I took while staying there over the holidays. This year was one of only a few that I remember where we enjoyed a real white Christmas in Texas.
I love this little tree in the kitchen trimmed with vintage cookie cutters and kitchen things.
Life size gingerbread girls are always smiling at the Pink House!

Her vintage snowman tree with his magic top hat placed at the top.

The front entrance to her magical cottage.
This is the little pink gingerbread house made by A Piece of Cake in Paris, Tx.

Even her bedroom is adorned with vintage Christmas frocks and sheet music.

I believe in Santa.

All the puppies were happy and blessed to spend Christmas in the Pink House.

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays as much as I did. Merry Christmas!!
